About Dr. Juan

Dr. Juan Rivera is a board-certified internist and cardiologist specializing in the prevention, early detection, and treatment of cardiovascular disease. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine before completing his Internal Medicine training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He later completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he also earned a master’s degree in Cardiovascular Epidemiology and received the Stanley Blumenthal Clinical Research Award.
Throughout his career, Dr. Rivera has combined clinical practice, research, writing, and public health education to help people make informed decisions about their health. He has authored several books, published numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles, held academic appointments, and remains dedicated to advancing preventive medicine through evidence-based education.
